Submission Guidelines

What we are looking for:

The Drunken Mermaid seeks to publish original works of exceptional quality from new and established, regional artists. We are seeking:
  • Theater
  • Dance
  • Short Films
General Submissions Guidelines

Drunken Mermaid welcomes submissions from both new and established talent throughout the Philadelphia region. You do not have to have been previously published/displayed in order to be published in The Drunken Mermaid.

Drunken Mermaid publishes select, original works of artistic merit as determined by the subjective discretion of our editorial staff. Submission of works to Drunken Mermaid does not in any way guarantee that your work will be accepted for publication. The staff of the Drunken Mermaid have sole discretion as to which works are or are not published.

If your work is selected for publication, Drunken Mermaid staff will notify you by phone or email prior to run date. There is no compensation of any kind associated with publication in The Drunken Mermaid. You retain ownership of your work at all times and receive free exposure for the period your work is displayed on drunkenmermaid.com

In order to guarantee a response or have your submissions materials returned, you must include a self addressed stamped envelope (SASE). Submissions which do not contain an SASE and are not selected for publication will be disposed of.
